Artificial Ice Events

THE
ARTIFICIAL
ICE DIFFERENCE

What is Artificial ice

Artificial or Synthetic ice is made up of a special plastic polymer that best resembles the consistency of a giant white cutting board. The synthetic ice rink is pieced together in 4’ × 8’ sheets and is then sprayed with a special solution that reduces friction and enhances glide and speed, closely mimicking the traditional ice skating experience.

experience

Artificial Ice Events is built on a pro skater’s experience. It was founded by a 17 year competitive speed skater where skating on ice was more than a surface, it was a science. Hundreds of executed jobs mean each Artificial Ice team member is experienced in generating freight quotes, customs brokering, union venues, sub floor recommendations, installing ice and sharpening skates.

Courteous, Helpful, and Checking all the Details

“Using Perfect Parties/Artificial Ice was great. From first phone call to the tear down of the rink, the staff was courteous and helpful. Throughout the few months leading up to the event, the crew kept in touch to make sure details were correct and that everything was in line, which was appreciated. The community enjoyed the rink (because most of our attendees to the Holidays in the UC event were children) and I think it was a great trial run for something we could possibly do in future events.

Thanks for all of your help and assistance.
We enjoyed having you.”

local ice rink event raises 15k for red cross

“Let’s make it even bigger next year!”

“We had 3,000 people skate on that ice rink and the publicity was priceless. Red Cross raised $15,000. Kevin & Dave were beyond awesome. Everything about it exceeded our expectations – and we definitely want to have it out there next year for the same timeframe, but want to make it bigger. Let’s figure out how we can make it bigger – and if we need to build something like a platform, we can build it this summer.”

I was so appreciative of how easy Mike made the whole experience

I wanted to take a minute to tell you how easy it has been to work with Mike Lawton.

This past December was the first year for WinterFest and it was a huge hit – so huge that the Tourism Commission more than doubled my budget for next year!  The City of Festus (MO) rented an ice rink and two inflatables from your company.  I had a million questions that would randomly occur to me and I’m sure that Mike looked at his fellow workers a few times with comments about me being crazy (and at times he was right!), but he was always very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to every single question I asked.

At different times my city administrator asked that I get in touch with Mike to have various changes made to the contract or waiver.  These were always handled in a timely manner and always to my city admin’s approval.  Once he asked if I had heard anything about a day after he told me of a needed change and was surprised when I told him that I had already received a reply from Mike and that it included the updated information.  I told City Administrator Happy Welch that I would be contacting you after WinterFest because I was so appreciative of how easy Mike made the whole experience and Happy said to be sure I did because good work should be recognized.

People are very quick to fuss and complain about even minor inconveniences so I wanted to be sure you knew what a joy and pleasure working with Mike has been.  I have already been in touch with Mike about an ice rink and inflatables for next year and have every confidence that the planning will go as smoothly as this year’s did thanks to Mike.

Wow! Craziness! It was awesome!

Wow!  Craziness!  It was awesome!

I can’t tell you enough what a great job Rob did as well as the lady who was right there with him and stayed with the Snow Globe (I can’t remember her name).  She was a rock star!  I know she never took a break I don’t think she even ate…

Now that I have a handle on it better and know how it works, I can really make this work.

Can we start working on a proposal for next year?  I need to more than double what I had.  If it had taken place on the original Saturday, I think we would have all ran screaming….it was highly attended to say the least.  Please let me emphasize how awesome Rob and my Snow Globe friend was.  I hope I have them next year!  Please let them know I said thank you.

Chicago Library Impressed with Professionalism

Steve and Reggie were wonderful to work with. From the time they arrived at the Library and introduced themselves, they did a great job. They were thorough when answering all of my questions about the rink [and helped to figure out] an alternate placement for the rink entrance when the panels came very close to a fire lane.

Even when, as I am sure you have heard, our freight elevator suddenly stopped working just as load-out was to start, they were very understanding and made a less than optimal situation work even though it had been a very long day for them. They never once showed any impatience or frustration… It was a wonderful event, and Steve’s and Reggie’s flexibility in working within the Library’s parameters made a very hectic day less stressful and much more pleasant.

Although I thanked them before I left that evening, please convey my thanks and appreciation to them. You are lucky
to have them working for you.

Thanks again
